Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (SLES) is a highly effective anionic surfactant available in liquid (28%) and paste (70%) concentrations. It is widely used in personal care products, such as shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, and toothpaste, due to its excellent foaming, emulsifying, and cleansing properties. SLES is derived from natural fatty alcohols (typically lauryl alcohol) and ethoxylated to improve mildness compared to traditional sulfates like SLS. It is also used in household cleaners, dishwashing liquids, and industrial detergents. SLES is stable in hard water, compatible with other surfactants, and gentle on skin at appropriate concentrations.
